Kick-off Meetings

On 20 September,2018 was held Kick-off in Kutaisi City Hall. 31 representatives of Kutaisi City Hall and NGOs participated. The speakers: Nino Tvaltvadze – Vice Mayor of Self-Government City of Kutaisi, Iuza Uglava – Vice Mayor of Self-Government City of Kutaisi, Ketevan Tskhakaia – Project Coordinator of Self-Government City of Kutaisi and Tamar Moseshvili – Project Co-coordinator of Imereti Scientists ’ Union SPECTRI.

On 16.10.2018 the Kick-off meeting took place in Galati (Romania). 42 represen tatives of Galati society and the delegation of project partner organization from Moldova participated. The speakers: Mr. Marius Humelnicu – City Manager – Galați City Hall, Mr. Ionut Mocanu – General Executive Director of Association Tehnopol Galați, Mr. Laurentiu Drasovean – Project Co-coordinator Association Tehnopol of Galati and Mrs. Svetlana Ciobanu – Project Co-coordinator City Hall Ungheni informed society about the goals and objects of project and underlined the meaning of partners collaboration for successful implementation of project.

On October 26th, 2018, within the Citizens Information Center of Ungheni City Hall, the kick-off conference took place. At the kick-off conference, 35 representatives of the local public authorities of level I and II participated: Mayor of Ungheni City,Alexandru AMBROS and the Deputy Mayor, Lilia BERNIC; the Head of Ungheni District Ludmila GUZUN; representatives of the municipal enterprise “AVE Ungheni”, associations of housing owners, “V. Alecsandri” high school, “I.Creangă” high school, “Gh.Asachi” high school, “A.Pushkin” high school, kindergartens, local initiative roups,NGOs, local newspapers “Expresul” and Unghiul”. All participants carefully followed the greeting words of the guests, the extensive information about the project, showing a particular interest for the planned activities and the sincere desire to be involved in their realization.
The aim of the kick-off conference of the project „Waste Free Rivers for a Clean Black Sea” was to inform the community stakeholders and the general public about the activities and expected outcomes and to raise awareness on the importance of their participation in the implementation process.
