Kutaisi (Georgia)
On June 5, within the framework of the events in Kutaisi, there were organized in Kutaisi the clean-up and plastic and paper waste collection event, and the eco-tour in the Botanical Garden and outdoor drawing event for children were organized.
The events involved actively pupils from 13 public schools of Kutaisi and Imereti region, students of Akaki Tsereteli State University, members of the N-Art Studio, representatives of NGOs, mass media and local authorities, a total of 127 people.
At the end of the day, a peaceful marche of young students was organized through the central streets of Kutaisi City holding posters Say no to the pollution of rivers by waste” and “Healthy environment for healthy generation”.
The Recycling Hour in the public schools
On June 5, as part of the events to mark World Environment Day, in the public schools of Kutaisi and Imereti region the Recycling Hour was held bringing together 209 pupils from several grades.
The main purpose of the Recycling Hour is to raise the next generation’s awareness of waste 3R principles. It is noteworthy that during the “Recycling Hour”, the pupils made made creative and fun items that they will use in the future.
Ungheni (Moldova)
On 5 June, on World Environment Day, kids from the Ungheni kindergarten “Stelut” visited the City Hall.
Galati (Romania)
On May 29 and June 10 2019, activities were carried out in Galati City to mark World Environment Day. In particular, 52 pupils and 3 teachers from Galati secondary schools No. 10 and No. 11 visited the greenhouse of the „S.C. Gospodărire Urbană S.A.“ company and received information about the importance of flowers in our life.
The clean-events were organized by Technopol Galati in three secondary schools of Galati: on May 31, 2019, 51 pupils from Galati schools No. 2 and No. 33 cleared and cleaned the schools surrounding area. On June 6 and 7, the clean-up events involved 28 students from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza college, and 46 pupils from from Galati secondary school No. 10.
