Introduction of Innovative Waste Management Practices

in Selected Cities of Georgia, Moldova and Armenia

With financial support from “Joint Operational Programme “BLACK SEA BASIN 2007-2013”, the project “Introduction of innovative waste management practices in selected cities of Georgia, Moldova and Armenia, GMA-WMP” was completed in 2015. The aim was to contribute to environment and quality of life improvements in the countries of the Black Sea region by developing cross-border partnerships and cooperation for introduction of modern waste management methods in the following cities: Kutaisi (Georgia), Ungheni (Moldova) and Ararat (Armenia). Local authorities and NGO representatives from four countries were involved in project implementation: Romania, Georgia, Moldova and Armenia.
